Update on expansion of Aalten business park

Council agrees to proposed study

The municipality of Aalten wants to create additional space for commercial plots near the center of Aalten, southwest of the 't Broek industrial estate and north of the Keizersbeek.

The proposed location is promising, but in-depth studies into traffic, water management, and ecology, among other things, are needed to Map potential obstacles in Map . On December 17, the city council approved the proposal to conduct further studies into this location. Local residents and interest groups will be closely involved in the further schematic development of the area, so that all interests are carefully weighed.

Expansion of the industrial park is necessary due to growing demand for commercial space. Research shows that at least 11 hectares of net industrial park space is needed near the center of Aalten in order to retain businesses within the municipal boundaries and stimulate employment and economic growth.
