Waste and Environment

The municipality of Aalten wants to offer residents a healthy, safe and clean living environment. We are working towards a sustainable and circular society. We can only achieve this by being smarter and more economical with our natural resources.

Waste consists largely of materials that we can recycle or reuse to make new products. Think of plastic, paper, glass, organic waste and textiles. By separating these materials at home as thoroughly as possible, little real residual waste is ultimately left and there is less pollution of the environment.

Household waste is collected in the municipality of Aalten by ROVA. 

For residual waste, there is an underground container in every neighborhood. More information can be found at ROVA.

If you live in an upstairs apartment, condo or flat, you usually have shared containers. Or there is a special underground container for pmd and paper. For this you need your ROVA pass. The ROVA pass belongs to the house.
