Post an announcement board

What is it?

You are not allowed to simply place an announcement board on or along a public road, for example to announce an event or express your thoughts or feelings. If you still want to place an announcement board, you must request permission from the municipality.

The municipality has regulations governing notice boards for social or cultural purposes.

How does it work?

The municipality determines whether you will be granted permission. It considers the following:

  • Is normal use of the road possible?
  • Is the safety of pedestrians and other traffic at risk?
  • Is there any nuisance for local residents?
  • Will it spoil the streetscape?

Please note! The municipality may refuse commercial advertising texts on signs.

The municipality may require that your notice board be wind and/or air permeable. 

Please also note the following:

  • Health you secure the notice board properly.
  • Health you do not cause damage to trees, walls, or lampposts.
  • Health the notice board is weatherproof.
