Activity Grant for Community Centers
The community centers in the municipality of Aalten are important for the quality of life in our towns and villages. They provide a space for social gatherings, club activities, and resident-led initiatives. In this way, they contribute to social cohesion and ensure that people can participate in community life.
To support these activities, the municipality has adopted the “Grant Program for Maintaining Social and Community Activities at Community Centers.” Under this program, the nine community centers recognized by the municipality are eligible to receive grants to maintain their existing social and community activities. The program took effect retroactively on January 1, 2025.
Apply for an annual grant
In 2025, the municipality conducted a survey to identify which activities are organized by or through the community centers. Based on that survey, fixed subsidy amounts were established for the coming years.
However, the community center’s board must reapply for the grant every year. In the hamlet of De Heurne, the association’s activities take place at the local restaurant. Therefore, as an exception, Heurns Belang may apply for the grant there.
