Complexie (Dinxperlo) waste processor closed immediately after repeated environmental violations
Waste processor Complexie at Helmkamp in Dinxperlo has been closed with immediate effect by the mayor and aldermen of the municipality of Aalten. The company is no longer allowed to accept or process waste.
The Omgevingsdienst Achterhoek (ODA) determined several times that the company was violating environmental laws. Despite repeated warnings and previous enforcement, including an imposed penalty that was partially forfeited, the violations continued to occur. These involved the illegal acceptance and processing of waste materials. To prevent new risks to the surrounding area and the environment, it was decided to close the site.
Mayor Stapelkamp: "Environmental regulations are there to protect our environment. When companies fail to comply and continue to ignore warnings, firm action is necessary."
