Budget Management

Payment arrears can arise for all sorts of reasons. This causes stress. Perhaps the bailiffs are already at your door? Are you unable to see the wood for the trees and thinking: "Where do I start?"

With budget management you get a grip on your finances under the guidance of a professional and independent budget consultant. Together, you take steps towards greater financial balance.

Your income comes into budget management, into the account of the Bureau of Financial Support (BvFO). The budget manager pays (part of) your fixed expenses. Budget management comes in a number of different forms. Your personal situation determines which form fits best.

Primary

  • You receive the mail yourself
  • You are responsible for your own tax returns, remission, etc.
  • Only the following charges are paid by BvFO
    rent
    energy
    water
    health insurance
    own risk reservation
  • The remaining amount will be deposited into your account
  • There is no saving for you

Medium

  • You receive the mail yourself
  • You are responsible for your own tax returns, remission, etc.
  • Only the following charges are paid by BvFO

    some additional charges

Full

  • You receive the mail yourself
  • You are responsible for your own tax returns, remission, etc.
  • All your fixed expenses are paid by BvFO
  • You get grocery money every week/month
  • You are being saved for you

Debts?

Do you have debts? With budget management, in principle, nothing is done with your debts yet. First, budget management focuses on regaining peace and stability in your financial situation. If it is possible within your budget and necessary, payment arrangements are made, but no active contact is maintained with creditors. This means that debts initially remain, and possibly grow larger. No matter how annoying: bailiffs can still knock on your door. Becoming debt free comes when a debt settlement can be started.
