Carbide shooting

What is it?

Carbide shooting is defined as: the explosive combustion of acetylene gas in a bus, container, or storage vessel, resulting from a reaction between calcium acetylide (carbide) and water or gas mixtures with similar properties.

Would you like to shoot carbide during New Year's Eve? This is permitted on New Year's Eve between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., outside built-up areas and with a clear field of fire of at least 100 meters. To do so, you must submit a notification using the notification form (see the Direct regelen tab). This can be done until December 21, 2025.

The municipality/police monitors this activity.
