Annual Report 2021 - 2022

Foreword

This annual report covers many topics relating to the years 2021 and 2022. If you look at
the table of contents, you will quickly see that the CCE has dealt with many different topics
. That is what makes the committee's work so interesting.
These topics are often intertwined with the past and the present. Take
, for example, the large-scale project 1572. Thanks in part to the support
of many volunteers, this has become a successful event. Or take
farm "de Welsker," whose barn has now been expertly restored
and is ready for the future. It is no coincidence that the owners were chosen as the
winners of the heritage award. What is special is that in 2021 there were two winners of
this heritage award. Both from Aalten (Leo van de Linde) and from Dinxperlo
(Ben Maandag), both for their efforts in the field of history. A lot of time has been invested
in the church vision, resulting in a beautiful manifesto for the preservation
of religious heritage in our municipality and as a guideline for beyond.
There are many other topics I could mention. Please take the time to read this report
and form your own opinion about the work of the committee. In connection
with the new Heritage Act 2023, we said goodbye to five members. Thanks in part to
their efforts, the heritage committee functioned successfully!
This annual report shows how important our heritage is and that it is worth
our efforts to preserve it.
