Wi-j does it together!

Our cultural heritage is of great importance to our historical awareness and shared identity. It makes an important contribution to the economy, society and tourism. It also contributes to an attractive business climate for businesses and residents. 

The municipalities of Aalten, Oost Gelre, and Winterswijk see added value in collaborating on heritage matters. That is why we have drawn up a heritage policy together with each other and with the relevant parties in our municipalities. The policy document has been given the apt title 'Wi-j doet 't samen!' (We do it together!). Each municipality has linked an implementation agenda to the document. This includes joint projects, but there is also room for local initiatives.
