Door-to-door newspaper Aalten Vooruit and De Band

In the municipality of Aalten, two local door-to-door newspapers are published by Achterhoek Nieuws: Aalten Vooruit and De Band. Aalten Vooruit is distributed in Aalten, Bredevoort, Barlo, Dale, Lintelo, IJzerlo, and De Haart. De Band is distributed in Dinxperlo, De Heurne, and Suderwick.

Under the name 'Aalten Actueel', several (identical) pages are also published in Aalten Vooruit and De Band under the responsibility of the municipality of Aalten. This is the municipal news. It includes public announcements, news items, and reports on specific topics such as sustainability and heritage. 'Van de raad' (agenda and decisions of the council and review of the council meetings by the political parties) also regularly features in the newspapers.
