Requesting or changing a house number
What is it?
If you have bought or rented a new house and you do not know what your house number is, ask the municipality. You also do this if you need an additional house number because you are splitting your property.
What to do.
You can request your (additional) house number from the municipality. You can do this with the form "House number assignment, application ". You can request this form from the municipality.
The following attachments must be included with the application:
- A situational drawing (clearly visible on which street the main entrance is located);
- A floor plan with dimensions (so that the area can be calculated) and indicate what the layout of the property is.
Do you need an (extra) house number? For example, because you are going to build, renovate or split? If so, you can apply for an environmental permit.

What does it cost?
If a house number is assigned and you have received a house number decree for it, the municipality will provide you with one license plate free of charge.
For those who live in the Outlying Area, a house number sign can be placed on a pole.

The municipality must number each residential object (house, business, churches, transformers, garage boxes and the like). It must also establish names for new streets, squares and other parts of the public space (for example, as a result of a new zoning plan and/or an environmental permit).
