Assistance in finding employment or day care services

What is it?

You want to work (again). The UWV and the municipality can help you find work or a suitable daytime activity. They can also offer you other help that will increase your chances of getting a job.

There are several options for support:

Help from the UWV

Did you leave an employer's employment sick? Or do you receive an income from the UWV? Then the UWV and the municipality can help you. For example:

Training

You can get an education at a school that accommodates your children's school hours. Sometimes they even offer child care. You can also get training part time.

Financial aid

Financial assistance for expenses related to your reemployment. How much you get depends on your income.

Job coach

A job coach guides people with physical, mental or psychological disabilities to or into a job if they cannot work without support. You will therefore only receive support from a job coach if and for as long as this is necessary.

What to do.

Go to a Werkplein near you. This is where the municipality and the UWV work together to help you find work.

You can also look for work yourself directly. For example, through newspaper ads, the UWV, employment agencies, the Internet or through your own network. You can also re-enter the workforce if you get a subsidized job or do volunteer work.

Help from the Simple Switching Team

You want to work or otherwise participate in a place that is right for you. If the UWV cannot help you, you can turn to the Simpel switchen team for help. Simpel switchen is intended to ensure that every resident of the municipality of Aalten can participate in the most suitable place. This can be a workplace at a company, but also a day care place. This may sound very obvious, but if another place suits you better and you have to deal with a different law or financial situation as a result, it can sometimes be quite complicated. The team of Simpel Switches Aalten helps you with this.

In order to help you properly, those directly involved with your question may need to share your personal information.

Experiences with Simple Switching

Last years, we worked with residents to gain experience with Simple Switching. We have asked participants to tell us something about this. In the video below, Lammie talks about her experiences with Simpel switching.

You can also read stories of people who have made the move to another form of work on the Movisie website.

What to do.

You can apply, possibly with the help of your contact person, via e-mail simpelswitchen@aalten.nl to the team of Simpel switch Aalten (hosted by Laborijn). You can also register someone else who is interested, of course with their permission.
A member of the team will then contact you to discuss your needs.
