Starting child care
There are various types of childcare facilities you can start. Consider, for example:
Ask the municipality to register your childcare facility with the LRK. Do this at least 10 weeks before you plan to open. Use one of the following forms:
- Application Form for Operating a Daycare Center or After-School Care Program
- Application Form for Operating a Childcare Agency
- Application Form for Operating a Childcare Home
The GGD will then conduct an inspection to determine whether you meet all the requirements. If your child care facility meets the requirements, it will be registered in the LRK.
You cannot start your childcare without registration in the LRK
Under the Child Care Act (Wko), every formal child care provider must submit an application to the municipality to be registered in the National Child Care Register (LRK).
