Pupil Transport

What is it?

Every child has the right to appropriate education. In some cases, the distance to the school is too great or the child cannot go to school independently due to its structural disability. The City Council has adopted the Pupil Transport Regulation of the Municipality of Aalten for this purpose.

What to do.

To qualify, please contact the student transportation consultant. You will be sent the application forms.

The application form with the explanatory notes states what the municipality needs to review your application.

What does it cost?

For transportation to schools for primary education and special primary education, the municipality of Aalten applies a financial threshold (there is no co-payment for secondary special education).

Parents of pupils attending a primary elementary school located further than 20 kilometers from the home are charged a contribution according to ability to pay. The amount of the contribution is adjusted annually.

How long does it take?

You will be notified by the municipality within 8 weeks whether you will receive pupil transportation.

Objecting

If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you can object within 6 weeks.
