Diapers
Disposable diapers
Disposable diapers belong in the residual waste. Within our municipality there are no separate collection points for diapers because they cannot be recycled. Put them in the underground container (outlying area gray container).
Washable diapers
Parents who want to start using washable diapers for their (future) child or want to try them out first, can get a subsidy for this. The municipality of Aalten has a subsidy scheme for this purpose . This scheme is intended for parents who are expecting a child and for parents of children under 2 years old.
Voucher
At the declaration of birth, you will receive a voucher of € 50. Meant for a sample pack or trial pack of washable diapers.
With the application form, a copy of the bill + that voucher you will get €50 deposited into your account. The voucher can be used up to 6 months after purchase.
- I am expecting a child. Can I also get € 50 for a trial package? Yes, even if your child is not yet born you can get € 50 back. You will not be able to use the voucher you receive later on when you declare the birth.
The fee
Did you buy or rent a package of washable diapers? Then you can get half the cost back, up to a maximum of €200 (when renting up to a maximum of €100).
- Does it matter if you also used the voucher before that? No, this is separate from the voucher.
- Can you also get the reimbursement in parts? Yes, if you do not reach the €200 with half of the cost, you can get the rest with a subsequent purchase.
Give your baby an environmentally conscious and sustainable start
With washable diapers, you choose a sustainable and environmentally conscious alternative. And you are also cheaper than with disposable diapers. A pack of washable diapers is much more expensive than a pack of disposable diapers, right? Yes. But over the entire diaper period, washable diapers are really cheaper than disposable diapers. On average about €450 per child. And that's not even counting the cost you save on waste!
