The municipality of Aalten would like to inform you about the risks of explosive remnants of war in the soil within the municipality of Aalten. It also explains how you can check for yourself whether an area where you want to dig is suspected of containing explosive remnants of war.
To this end, the municipality has already commissioned a municipality-wide preliminary investigation by the AVG consultancy firm. You can use the results of the investigation to assess whether there are any risks associated with planned groundworks.
How does it work?
The acts of war are Map in a Map as facts with a risk contour.
In this Map , you Map a green navigation screen. Here, you can search by address. You can now see whether your location is in a suspicious area or not.
Location is suspect:
If the site is in a colored contour and you can read in the various tabs that your area is at risk of having explosive remnants of war (ordnance, missiles et cetera).
Location is not suspicious:
If your location is not in a colored area and clicking on the location on the Map brings up the menu below, then your location is in an unsuspicious area and you do not need to take any further action.
What to do.
If the digital Map indicates that your location is suspected of containing explosive remnants of war, you are obliged under the Working Conditions Act to conduct further investigation before digging or having the soil dug up.
