Get free help with saving energy
Are you having trouble paying your high energy bill? And would you like to lower your energy bill so you have more money left over each month? If so, request the help of a free savings coach. This free savings coach works for Energieloket Achterhoek, an organization that, on behalf of the municipality, helps residents get started on lowering their energy bills at no cost. The assistance provided by this savings coach is called “Bespaarhulp aan huis” (Home Savings Assistance).
The savings coach will visit your home a few times at no charge. During these visits:
- you'll get easy and free money-saving tips;
- order energy-saving products worth €150 through the Energy Savings Coach and have them installed together in your home;
- The Energy Coach will check whether your refrigerator, washing machine, or freezer is very old. If an appliance is too old, the Energy Coach will see if it can be replaced for free with an energy-efficient model.
Who is this for?
You are eligible for assistance from a free savings coach if you:
- received an energy allowance in 2023;
- received Social assistance benefit in 2025;
- You received €1,200 or more in healthcare benefits in 2024.
