Parking in the blue zone
What is it?
If you wish to park in a parking disc zone (‘blue zone’), you are required to use a parking disc. The maximum parking time in the center of Aalten is two hours. The blue zone is intended to discourage long-term parking. The blue zone is in effect on the following roads:
- Bredevoortsestraatweg
- De Hoven
- Haartsestraat
- Hofstraat
- Hoge Blik
- Hogestraat
- Kerkstraat
- Köstersbulte
- Lage Blik
- Landstraat
- Markt
- Oosterkerkstraat
- Stationsstraat
You can apply to the municipality for a temporary waiver of the ban on long-term parking only for the purpose of temporary work.
You may park your motorcycle in a blue zone. You do not have to use a parking disc to do so. However, you must park your motorcycle in a parking space, not on the sidewalk.
