Advertising Tax
What is it?
Under the name of advertising tax, a direct tax is levied on public advertisements that are visible from public roads. In the municipality of Aalten, this tax is levied on the center of the towns of Aalten and Dinxperlo.
The municipality imposes an assessment on the person, who has a public announcement. An advertisement, for example.
What does it cost?
The advertising tax 2025 for having one or more public notices per movable or immovable property is levied at a fixed amount per year, per property lying in:
- area 1 Aalten €499.00
- area 2 Dinxperlo € 398.00

The 2024 advertising tax for having one or more public notices per movable or immovable property is levied at a fixed amount per year, per property lying in:
- Area 1 Aalten €489.00
- area 2 Dinxperlo € 390.00

Objecting
Do you disagree with the assessment? Then you can file an objection. In your objection, state the assessment number and explain why you disagree. Send your objection within 6 weeks after the date on the assessment notice to the municipality for the attention of the tax officer.
Notice! Filing an objection does not suspend the payment obligation.
