Playgrounds and bocce courts

In our cores we have small and larger playgrounds and sometimes a bocce court.

Playgrounds and bocce courts are used mainly during the day. In the evening and at night, there is little social control. If we place public lighting at these locations, it may give the feeling that it is safe to go out and play then, but in fact the light gives false safety. Because there is no help from bystanders or neighbors if something happens.

This is how we do it from now on

We do not light up playgrounds and bocce courts.
In those places where there is lighting now, we will in principle remove the lighting. But in consultation with users and residents.
