Sponsorship, requesting contribution
What is it?
Through sponsorship, we want to give the organizers of an event a helping hand. In return for organizing a sponsored event, we expect our logo and/or name to be used in communications surrounding the event. Providing (access)Maps is anotherMaps of a reciprocal service.
Events that fit within the sponsorship policy generally have a supra-municipal appeal and attract (many) interested parties, including those from outside the municipal boundaries. Sponsorship is explicitly not intended to support events financially. It is not a financial contribution or a disguised subsidy that is provided as an expense allowance or to balance the budget of an event.
How it works
If you are organizing an event or occasion in the municipality of Aalten that is open to the public, is aimed at a relatively large audience, and contributes to improving the identity of the municipality of Aalten, you can submit an application for a sponsorship contribution. The sponsorship amount is €250 per year per event. We make €3,000 available annually. The application must be submitted at least one month before the start of the event. Applications are assessed on a 'first come, first served' basis. We will make agreements with you about how you will use our logo or name in the communication surrounding your event.
The requests below are not eligible for sponsorship:
- Jubilee celebrations and/or anniversary expenses of associations etc. An anniversary can be seen coming, money can be set aside for this.
- Requests of too general a nature such as Easter fires, St. Nicholas parades and Christmas markets.
- Requests that are primarily aimed at fundraising for charitable causes. Many charitable campaigns are organized in the municipality of Aalten. Sponsorship is not intended to support charitable campaigns.
