Support measure for social organizations
In the event of serious financial hardship due to the energy crisis, there is a support measure for social organizations. On this page, you can check whether your organization is eligible for the scheme and submit an application immediately.
Who is the support scheme for?
The scheme is for social organizations. That is to say, socially, athletically, or culturally relevant non-profit organizations that are locally based or locally active. These are organizations that are specifically facing higher costs due to rising energy prices and are therefore in (or at risk of being in) financial distress.
Customized arrangement
This new temporary scheme is aimed solely at social organizations in the municipality of Aalten. It is explicitly tailored to individual circumstances—there is no standard compensation method or form—and the financial support from the municipality supplements support measures from the national or provincial government. In order to determine the need for municipal support, the organization must provide insight into how its financial situation has changed as a result of high energy prices and what the possible effects of this are on its range of activities. Based on this information, the mayor and aldermen can determine whether additional municipal support is necessary.
How do you apply?
You must submit your application online. In doing so, you must answer the following questions:
- How is your association affected by the energy crisis?
- What other support are you already receiving?
- What energy-saving measures are you already implementing, or how are you trying to increase revenue?
By answering the questions in the questionnaire as completely as possible, the organization can provide the required insight into the effects of the energy crisis.
When can an application be submitted?
Applications may be submitted from January 1, 2023, until December 29, 2023, at the latest.
Assessment of the application
The application will be assessed by the Municipal Executive as soon as possible, but no later than within 13 weeks.
Subsidy ceiling
A subsidy ceiling of €500,000 has been set for the implementation of the scheme. Applications will be processed on the basis of their registered date of receipt, from the moment they are considered complete.
