Major maintenance grant scheme for community centers
The community centers in our municipality serve as general central locations for meetings, (club) activities, and resident initiatives, and are of great value for maintaining and strengthening social cohesion, quality of life, and participation in the (small) communities of the municipality of Aalten. To provide financial support to community centers, there is a subsidy scheme called 'Major maintenance of community centers'. This subsidy is specifically aimed at funding major maintenance of the accommodations. The 'Subsidy scheme for major maintenance of community centers' will take effect retroactively from January 1, 2024.
Annual applications
On behalf of the municipality, Multi-Year Maintenance Plans were prepared for 10 recognized community houses, with the facility in De Heurne still "under construction. These Multi-Year Maintenance Plans form the basis for calculating the fixed subsidy amounts for which these community houses are eligible. The subsidy must be reapplied for annually by the board of the community houses concerned.
