Expansion of business park Aalten

The municipality of Aalten wants to create additional space for commercial plots near the center of Aalten in order to meet the needs of local businesses to expand. The Regional Work Location Program (RPW) 2024-2028 shows that there will be a need for approximately 11 hectares of additional commercial space near the center of Aalten by 2030. The municipal executive is therefore investigating whether it is possible to expand the existing industrial estate to the southwest of the existing industrial estate and north of the Keizersbeek.
Studies are currently underway. Based on the results of these studies, a decision will be made on whether and how the business park can be expanded at this location. The city council was briefed on the current status in July ’26.
