Uuthuuskes

Ten temporary, small flex-houses, spread across four small cores have been realized. We call these flex housing units "Uuthuuskes"; they are intended for young people who have a social and/or community connection to De Haart, De Heurne, Lintelo and IJzerlo and want to live "on their own.

Temporary small flex homes fill the gap in the housing market for young people who cannot find a home in the current overstrained housing market. In this way, we will retain the younger generation in the region and prevent outflow. The City Council decided July 7, 2020 that ten homes can be bought and placed in the municipality of Aalten. Of these, eight homes have now been realized. Unfortunately, no suitable place could be found for the last two homes.
