Uuthuuskes

Ten temporary, small flex-houses, spread across four small cores have been realized. We call these flex housing units "Uuthuuskes"; they are intended for young people who have a social and/or community connection to De Haart, De Heurne, Lintelo and IJzerlo and want to live "on their own.

Temporary small flexible homes fill the gap in the housing market for young people who cannot find a home in the current overheated housing market. This allows us to retain the younger generation in the region and prevent outflow. On July 7, 2020, the municipal council decided that ten homes could be purchased and placed in the municipality of Aalten. Eight of these homes have now been completed. Unfortunately, no suitable location could be found for the last two homes.
