You will receive your voting pass at the address where you were registered in the Personal Records Database (BRP) on February 2, 2026. Were you living in a different municipality on February 2? Then you must vote in that municipality.

Proof of identity

You will also need proof of identity when voting. This may be expired for a maximum of 5 years. If it has been expired for longer than this, you will not be able to vote. Examples of proof of identity include:

  • a passport
  • an identity card
  • a driver's licence

Don't have an ID card? Apply for one in good time. You can collect your ID card five days after applying.

Did you not receive your voting pass, or has it been lost or damaged?

You can then request a replacement voting pass. Once you have requested a new voting pass, your old voting pass will no longer be valid! You can request your replacement voting pass using your DigiD until March 13.
