What is it?
- If you have lost or found something, you can report it to the municipality. You do not have to report it to the police.
- Note: You do need to report it to the police if you think it is theft.

Becoming the owner of a found object
When you file the report, you can indicate that you want to become the owner of the found object. If the owner does not pick up the item within one year, you are the owner of the item.
If you have given the object for safekeeping to the municipality, you can only become the owner if the object is worth more than €450. If the owner does not collect the object within one year, you must report to the municipality within one month after that year.
