Selling fireworks

What is it?

Would you like to sell fireworks? Then you will need a permit. You can apply for this permit from the municipality. 

Please note: Effective August 1, 2026, you may only sell F1 fireworks, such as sparklers, to consumers.
You may only sell other types of fireworks to associations or foundations that are permitted to set off fireworks on New Year’s Eve (with a waiver).

What does this mean for you?

• Do you sell consumer fireworks?
  If so, you are no longer allowed to sell them to consumers.
• Do you import or distribute consumer fireworks?
  If so, you must cease all activities related to sales to consumers.
• Do you organize professional fireworks shows?
  That’s still allowed under Requirements .
