Additional information
Complaint about health care provider
If you are not satisfied with the Health or support you receive from your health care provider, you can file a complaint. There are several agencies you can go to depending on your complaint.
Complaint through health care provider
If you have a complaint first discuss it with your health care provider. Perhaps there is a misunderstanding. A conversation may resolve the problem.
Complaint through complaints officer
Is your complaint not resolved after a conversation with the health care provider? Then you can submit your complaint to a complaints officer or confidential advisor. Most healthcare providers and every healthcare institution employs a complaints officer. These individuals mediate between you and the healthcare provider.
Complaint through complaint committee
You can also take your complaint to a grievance committee. The committee investigates your complaint and issues a ruling. A healthcare institution may take measures based on the ruling. A healthcare institution is not obliged to adopt the decision of the complaints committee. Zorgbelang Gelderland can tell you which complaints committee you should contact.
