Pet missing

• Report the missing animal to the Achterhoek Animal Ambulance, telephone 085 06 40 530. 
• Report the loss to Amivedi. If necessary, check the Facebook page. Amivedi keeps a record of lost and found pets. 
• Check with Dierencentrum Achterhoek to see if your animal has been found. 

Chip 

By microchipping and registering your pet, there is a greater chance that it will be reunited with you if it goes missing. Microchipping and proper registration of dogs is mandatory in the Netherlands. There is no obligation for cats, but it is recommended. 

Pet passed away

You have the following options:

Burial in your own garden or on your own property. Please be aware of the risks to public health, animal health, and the environment. Bury the animal at least 75 centimeters deep.

Drop-off points for deceased pets

• Miedema collection service(available 24 hours a day). There is no charge for this service. 
• Slingeland Veterinarians, there are costs involved.
• Achterhoek Animal Ambulance, phone number: 085 06 40 530. They can also collect your deceased pet. They can also arrange a dignified farewell for your pet. There are costs associated with collection and/or a farewell, which will be discussed with you in advance. 

If your dog has passed away, don't forget to deregister it with the municipality for dog tax purposes.
