Together we look at the cause of your financial problems. We provide information and non-binding advice. And if you want, we can make arrangements to solve the payment arrears. We can also look together for a solution to the debts if you are unable to repay them yourself.

Information

After registration we will invite you within 4 weeks for an informal consultation with the municipality's Financial Assistance Counselor. This meeting can take place at your home, at the municipal office or at another location in the municipality of Aalten. You may always bring someone with you to the meeting.

You do not need to bring any documents to the initial consultation. We focus on getting acquainted and clarifying your question.

During the second conversation, we look at possible solutions for the cause of the debts. Because of course it is nice if no new debts arise in the future. We will work on this together. What exactly this process looks like depends on your personal situation. Some examples are:

  • balancing income and expenses;
  • make payment arrangements;
  • Preparing for and registering for debt settlement.

Furthermore, we look at the debts. Thus, during this process, together we try to ensure that the debts are resolved.
