May we use your experience(s)?

Everyone should be able to participate in the municipality of Aalten. We believe that is important. However, there will undoubtedly be residents who have had different experiences. We would particularly like to get in touch with these residents. To learn from their experiences and work together to find a solution. So that eventually, everyone really can participate.

We can all think of the examples. Because you are in a wheelchair, you literally cannot enter somewhere. Or because you are very visually impaired, you cannot "just join" a fun activity being organized. But unfortunately there are also other reasons why people are excluded, or feel they are not (allowed to) participate. So it's not just about limitations someone experiences because of a physical disability. Even not having money can be a big barrier to participation. And unfortunately it also happens that people are excluded because of their age, the country they were born in, the color of their skin, because they fall for someone of the same sex or because they were born a man but feel like a woman, or vice versa. Or for any other reason.
