Easter fire
What is it?
Open-air burning is prohibited. Since the Omgevingswet , new rules apply to Easter and bonfires. As of this year, an environmental permit is required for this. This is stated in the Living Environment Activities Decree (Bal). This means that you must always apply for a permit from the ODA if you want to organize an Easter or bonfire.
Pruning waste is usually brought or collected for an Easter bonfire. If you only burn pruning waste from your own property, you do not need a permit under the Bal. Applying for an exemption from the municipality for burning pruning waste is sufficient.
This explanation only concerns the environmental permit. To organize the event, you will also need an event permit. You must apply for this separately from the municipality.
Arrange directly
To apply for a permit for an Easter or bonfire, you can submit an application via the environmental desk. This application will be processed by the ODA (Omgevingsdienst Achterhoek).
