Subsidy scheme for making homes more sustainable in the municipality of Aalten 2023

Homeowners in Aalten with a home with a maximum WOZ value of €275,000, which
is insufficiently insulated and sustainable, can receive a subsidy of up to €3,000 for energy-saving measures to their home. On this page, we have summarized the most important information about this subsidy scheme.

The subsidy ceiling has been reached and applications are no longer possible.

Who can apply for a subsidy?

Homeowners can apply for a subsidy if their home meets the following criteria:

• The property does not have an energy label A or B; and
  The property was built before 2010.

Homeowners who have received the 2022 energy allowance

This group of homeowners can receive a subsidy covering 100% of the costs. The minimum subsidy amount that can be requested per home is €500. The maximum subsidy is €3,000 per home.

Homeowners with a home with a maximum WOZ value of €275,000

This group can receive a subsidy covering 30% of the costs. The minimum subsidy amount per home that can be applied for is €500. The maximum subsidy is €3,000 per home.

How does it work?

Once we have approved your subsidy application, you can carry out the work (or have it carried out). You then send supporting documents (invoices, receipts, and photos of the end result) for the work carried out to the municipality. After approval, you will receive the requested subsidy as soon as possible so that you can pay the bill(s).

Would you like to carry out the measures yourself? You can still receive a subsidy. Not for the hours worked, but for the materials. You can also request an advance on the subsidy so that you do not have to pay for the materials up front. You can indicate on the application form in the 'other comments' box that you would like to receive an advance.

Requirements

The main Requirements this subsidy scheme are:

• You can only apply for subsidies for energy-saving measures that are included in the list of measures;
• You can apply for a subsidy for one or more energy-saving measures;
• You may apply for a subsidy no more than once per calendar year;
• You may only implement the energy-saving measures (or have them implemented) after the subsidy has been granted;
• The energy-saving measures must be implemented within nine months of the subsidy being granted;
• Energy-saving measures must be implemented in the existing thermal envelope of the home (for example, not in a new extension).
• Subsidies can be applied for until December 31, 2023, or until the subsidy ceiling has been reached.
