Reimbursement of deductible health care costs

For medical expenses reimbursed by your basic health insurance, you pay a deductible. If you have a low income (up to 120% of the social assistance standard), you can apply for a partial reimbursement of the deductible from the municipality of Aalten.

For 2024 (and also for next year), the excess has been set by the government at a maximum of € 385 per (adult) person. Of that, you always pay the first €100 yourself. Do you have to pay more? The municipality of Aalten will reimburse half of that amount. The reimbursement you will receive is therefore a maximum of € 142.50 per person per year (€ 385 - € 100 = € 285. Half of € 285 = € 142.50).

Requesting reimbursement

You apply for reimbursement using a form on our website: www.aalten.nl/bijzondere-bijstand-zorgkosten. Can't figure it out? Ask for help from the Forms Brigade of Humanitas. You can do that every Tuesday at the Kulturhus Dinxperlo, Maurits Prinsstraat 6 (from 09.30 to 11.00) and at the Ahof, Polstraat 9 in Aalten (from 13.30 to 15.00). You can just walk in. You do not need to make an appointment.

Income limits
