Rental Permit
What is it?
The municipality of Aalten finds it important that international employees/work migrants can stay and live with us in a good way. We therefore set requirements for the quality of the housing. These are requirements for the house or building to be rented out, but also requirements for the accommodation itself. Because we also want to monitor the quality of the housing, we work with rental permits.
What to do.
If you rent out living quarters to international employees/ migrant workers or plan to do so, you need a rental permit to do so. This is an obligation, because without this permit the rental of accommodation spaces is not allowed.
What do I need?
- A floor plan of the building. This must show that the conditions of the Building Works Decree (Bbl) are met.
Furthermore, it must be indicated; - the area per room(s)
- the clear height of the room(s)
- the provisions for air and ventilation
- calculation of daylighting
- the lockable rooms
- placement of smoke detectors
- shower/laundry and cooking facilities
Directly arrange
After submitting the rental permit application, we will notify you whether you qualify for a rental permit.
For the sake of completeness, we mention that:
- An environmental permit is also required to rent out 5 or more residence spaces in one building.
- That an investigation under the Promotion of Integrity Assessments by Public Administration Act (the Bibob Act) is part of the application.
What does it cost?
For costs, please refer to the fee table in the fee regulations Article 3.18 Rental permit residence hall. See link under local regulations.
How long does it take?
- Within 8 weeks, you will be notified whether you will receive the rental permit.
- The municipality may extend this period once by 6 weeks.
- If you disagree with the municipality's decision, you can object within 6 weeks.
