Alderman te Lindert is leaving the municipality of Aalten
Alderman te Lindert (CDA) has decided to step down from his position as Alderman the municipality of Aalten at the end of April. This is because he has accepted a new position outside of municipal politics, as principal of Christelijk College Schaersvoorde in Aalten.

In response, Alderman Lindert said:
"After careful consideration, I have decided to step down as Alderman take on a new challenge. This was not an easy decision for me. Over the past seven years, I have worked with great pleasure and passion for our municipality and its residents. I am grateful for the trust I have been given and for the cooperation with the mayor, fellow aldermen, the city council, and the civil servants."
Mayor Stapelkamp responds on behalf of the municipal executive to the departure of the Alderman:
"As the municipal executive of Aalten, we have taken note of the appointment of our colleague Hans te Lindert as the new principal of Christelijk College Schaersvoorde with mixed feelings. Mixed because Hans has been a skilled and valued colleague for the past seven years. He has contributed greatly to the council being a close-knit and ambitious team during these years. On the other hand, we are happy for Hans te Lindert to take on this wonderful position at the school where he himself was once a student. And we congratulate Schaersvoorde on their choice of a true Aalten educator. The board wishes both Hans and the school every success in the coming years."
Education portfolio reinvested
To avoid even the slightest appearance of a conflict of interest, Alderman Lindert's entire education portfolio will be taken over immediately by Aldermen Ted Kok and Joop Wikkerink.
New Alderman
It is up to the CDA group to find a replacement for Hans te Lindert.
