Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb)

As of Jan. 1, 2024, the Building Quality Assurance Act (Wkb) applies. This law is designed to better protect consumers when it comes to the technical quality of construction work. Previously, the municipality checked whether your building plan technically complied with the rules. With the introduction of the Wkb, this check for low-risk buildings (consequence class 1) is done by a certified independent party, a so-called "quality assurance agency". As initiator, you are responsible for engaging a quality assurance agency.
